For twenty years Choptank Word Bank has produced books, periodicals, movie and television scripts, as well as editing services, book packaging, editorial content and design for periodicals. CWB is dedicated to word craftsmanship, from the basics of letter and proposal writing to book-length manuscripts.

ROGER VAUGHAN is author of twelve books including biographies of Ted Turner, Herbert von Karajan, and Hilary Koprowski, M.D.; a two-volume illustrated set on the island of Mustique (with Metze Design); three books about the America's Cup; a book with Baseball Hall of Fame batting champion Tony Gwynn: an illustrated celebration of women and golf.

For fifteen years Vaughan has written scripts for ESPN on yachting and other sports. He has co-produced and directed shows for ESPN. He co-wrote and received a screen credit for the feature film, Wind.

Vaughan was Founding Editor of TheYACHT magazine. He has been writing for periodicals since he joined the editorial staff of LIFE in the late 1960s.

KIP REQUARDT has worked as an editor for periodicals and books for 20 years. She was Senior Editor of TheYACHT magazine. She was hired by The Washingon Post to provide editorial critique and line edit their Sunday Magazine during a redesign. She has worked with published and unpublished writers to bring their manuscripts to publication-both for books and periodicals-as well as working with various magazines on specific assignments.

AUSTIN METZE is the principal in Metze Publication Design. His art direction credits include TIME and US magazines, and a number of special issues for People magazine including their 20th Anniversary issue and the tribute to Jackie Onassis. Metze has also worked for Outdoor Life, and art directed a series of magazines for Norman Lear's Act Ill Publishing.

Metze Publication Design is experienced with both magazine redesigns and startups. MPD's startups include two new magazines for Act III, The Marketer and Agency, New Man magazine for Strang Communications; and Makeover magazine for Time Warner. Metze's redesigns include the National Review for William F. Buckley; and a redesign of Views, the flagship catalog of the Book-of-the-Month Club.

Metze worked with Roger Vaughan on the second volume of Mustique and the packaging of the two-volume Mustique set; and with Vaughan and Requardt on an America's Cup memoir by Edward du Moulin.

In addition to magazine, book and catalog design, Metze is also experienced in web design. MPD's web work includes sites for YAl, artist Susan Schweitzman; and the famous political activist rock group, The Fugs.
